Do I need an account? · क्या खाता ज़रूरी है?
No. There is no sign-up or login. Every feature works as soon as you open the app.
Does it work without internet? · क्या यह ऑफलाइन चलता है?
Yes, for all the content: festival stories, panchang and aartis are inside the app. The internet is used only to show ads, to send anonymous usage statistics (if you allow them), and to open a source link you tap.
How do I switch between Hindi and English? · भाषा कैसे बदलें?
Tap the gear icon at the top of the screen to open Settings and choose हिन्दी or English. On a festival page you can also use the हि / EN switch at the top to change just that story.
The aarti lyrics are not moving. · आरती की पंक्तियाँ आगे नहीं बढ़ रहीं
Press the gold Play button. If you drag the lyrics with your finger, the player pauses so you can read at your own pace; press Play again to continue from there. If Reduce Motion is on in your phone's accessibility settings, the lyrics wait for you to press Play. Use Slow, Normal or Fast to set the scrolling speed.
How do I turn the background music off or up? · संगीत कैसे बंद करें?
In the aarti player, tap the music-note button next to the play controls to turn the soft tanpura music off or on. The app remembers your choice. Use your phone's volume buttons to make it louder or quieter.
How do I make the text bigger? · अक्षर बड़े कैसे करें?
Settings (gear icon) → Text size: Small, Medium, Large or Extra Large. Stories, aartis and the panchang all follow this setting.
How do I change my city? · शहर कैसे बदलें?
Settings (gear icon) → City, then search for your city or state and tap it. The app does not use GPS; you choose the city from the list.
Do reminders send notifications?
Not yet. The Reminders tab keeps a list of the vrats and festivals you follow, which you can switch on or off. Notification alerts are planned for a future update.
Why are there ads, and can I control them?
Small Google AdMob banners keep ePandit free. On iPhone and iPad the app asks your permission before ads may use your device's advertising identifier; change it any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android, reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads).
How do I stop sharing usage statistics?
In the app, open Settings and switch off Share anonymous usage data (अनाम उपयोग डेटा साझा करें). See Your data & deletion for more.
Where does the content come from? How accurate are the dates?
Every festival page lists its sources, and the aarti texts were checked against several published versions (see Sources & credits). Dates follow one national (Purnimanta) calendar. Hindu traditions and regional calendars genuinely differ, so a date or tithi can vary by region or family custom. Found a wrong date, a missing aarti line, or a mistake in a story? Please email us with:
- the festival or aarti name, and the date shown in the app;
- what looks wrong and what you believe is correct;
- a source if you have one (a panchang, scripture or trusted website);
- a screenshot, if it's easy.
Corrections are released in the next app update.
